Meet the Staff

Paul Jaramillo, President & Co-founder

With roots dating back to the largest landscape and turfgrass companies in Nevada owned by his father and grandfather, Paul has learned every aspect of the industry from the ground up. Established in 1995 with his partners Shawn Buckley and Mark Rockwell, Par 3 recognized the emerging need to service the Valley’s fledgling Master Planned Communities. For the past 15 years, they have provided unparalleled service and expertise to many of Las Vegas’ finest communities such as Summerlin, Southern Highlands, and The Ridges. Their commercial expertise is equally strong servicing properties like Station Casinos, Las Vegas Springs Preserve, and Summerlin Hospital.

Par 3’s involvement in water conservation includes installing artificial turf at the infamous Welcome to Las Vegas sign and continues down Las Vegas Boulevard. Most recently Par 3 completed an on-site waste recycling facility which enables them to recycle over 90% of the landscape waste produced by its maintenance and construction divisions. This state of the art facility is available to the public through Par 3’s drop box division and processes everything from green waste to construction debris. Jaramillo’s experience in the golf course industry spans three decades.

Through Par 5 Enterprises, millions of pounds of grass seed, chemical, and fertilizer are distributed each year keeping Las Vegas’ finest golf courses green, and through Par 4 Golf Management he and his partner Keith Flatt provide enviable course conditions and first class service at Badlands and Primm Valley Golf Clubs.

Alex Villarosa, VP Landscape Construction Division

As Vice President of Par 3’s Landscape Construction Division Alex Villarosa oversees the sales, estimating, design and construction field operations. Alex has worked as a project manager for over 15 years, the past 5 years with Par 3, and began his career managing industrial and mining construction projects. Alex has gained vast experience managing large commercial and custom residential projects including Wynn Hotel & Casino, the Bellagio Tower Addition, Green Valley Station Casino, and the Las Vegas Springs Preserve to name a few. Villarosa is an Engineering graduate of UNLV and holds Certificates of Achievement in A20 Industrial Piping Examination, C-5 Concrete Examination, and C-18 Masonry Examination.

Kurtis Hyde, VP Landscape Maintenance

Kurtis joined Par 3 Landscape & Maintenance in 2005 as VP of the Landscape Maintenance Division. With over 13 years experience in the landscape and construction industry Kurtis’ knowledge of the industry is extensive. A graduate of BYU with degrees in Environmental Economics and Conservative Biology, with an emphasis on Botany, Kurtis believes in the value of continuing education. This belief is taken into action each week as he holds early morning training classes for his maintenance staff in topics ranging from proper techniques to safety awareness.

Equally important is the belief that service is what sets Par 3 apart in the industry. His primary focus is to consistently provide the best customer service to every client. Kurtis serves on the Board of Directors for the Southern Nevada Landscape Association, is a member of the Education Committee, is a certified arborist and landscape irrigation auditor, and a member of CAMEO, NPFMA, ISA, and IA.

Mark Rockwell, Vice President

Las Vegas native Mark Rockwell got his start in the landscape industry as a high school student working for the Ribeiro Companies. His innate talent for field design and unmatched work ethic afforded him the opportunity to work on many large scale commercial projects in town, many of which remain unchanged to this day. While with Ribeiro, Mark helped design and install the landscaping at some notable properties including, Quail Park, Park 2000, and the Luxor and Excalibur hotel casinos.

In 1995, Mark combined his experience and expertise with that of his partners Paul Jaramillo and Shawn Buckley to form Par 3 Landscape & Maintenance. Since that time Mark has been instrumental in building Par 3 from one truck and a small crew to a staff nearly 500 employees strong. Mark’s creativity and talent for making our desert bloom is showcased in neighborhoods throughout Las Vegas from community entrances and streetscapes to meticulously adorned Luxury Estates. His expertise is also utilized on many of our local golf courses including Spanish Trails, Rio Secco and Desert Pines where he and his team replace greens, bunkers, and convert a significant portion of grass to plant materials which enhance the aesthetics of the course while sharply reducing water consumption.

Shawn Buckley, Corporate Secretary & Treasurer

Shawn Buckley and his partners Mark Rockwell and Paul Jaramillo stand at the helm of Las Vegas’ largest locally owned and operated landscape company – Par 3 Landscape & Maintenance. A commercial airline pilot by trade, Shawn and his partners recognized an emerging need for a landscape company that was focused on maintenance. In 1995, Par 3 set out to fill the void in the marketplace. Over the past 15 years it is clear to see that the partners filled it well.

Customer service is the cornerstone of the Par 3’s philosophy and Shawn’s commitment to that philosophy has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining the personal relationships with clients that help set Par 3 apart from the rest. Although Par 3 has certainly grown, Shawn’s involvement in everything from the day to day operations to ensuring the company maintains its family atmosphere is essential to its success. His belief in treating customers and employees well is evident in all that he does and has earned him the respect of his colleagues. True to his nature, Shawn’s involvement in youth organizations throughout Las Vegas has given inspiration and encouragement to the rising generation which will surely carry them through in their own careers.

Nancy A. Eaton, CCA, CIT, CDS; Chief Financial Officer

Nancy Eaton joined Par 3 in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer. In addition to her responsibilities at Par 3 she also provides accounting oversight for its affiliated companies. Past National President and 25-year member of The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) she was the 2008 Crystal Vision Award winner which celebrates the achievements of individuals with vision who promote, expand, and encourage the role of women in the construction industry. She is currently serving as the President for the NAWIC Education Foundation.

In her career, Nancy has encouraged and empowered women in construction by serving as a member and proponent of self-sufficiency. As a Tomboy Tools consultant, she has built her team to more than 200 members, encouraging them to become self-supporting and to be creating in building their businesses. In addition, Nancy is involved in many community projects and programs, including the local Women’s Development Center. WDC is a major provider of transitional housing and job training for single parents in the Las Vegas Valley. Nancy is a tireless recruiter of Associated General Contractors and NAWIC. Her efforts helped AGC to earn recognition as the fastest growing chapter among AGC’s 100 chapters. Her promotion of women in construction is unparalleled.
